Richards Industries is once again proud to sponsor The Cincinnati Flying Pig Marathon as a Community Sponsor. The event will be held May 6th, 2018 and the Richards Industries’ parking lot will be used for the transition area for the relay event, along with electric and water supply.
We love seeing all the runners and walkers come by! And we’re happy to share water and a cheering section to help them all succeed. In 2017 15 of our own employees and their spouses or significant others ran the ½ marathon! Everyone finished and had a great day!
About the Cincinnati Flying Pig Marathon
It is an annual 26.2 mile race run on the first Sunday of May. Its first run was in 1999. It is the 3rd largest first-time marathon in the United States and had nearly 5000 finishers in 2008. An official time from the Flying Pig Marathon can be used to qualify for the Boston Marathon. In recent years, the Flying Pig has included a 5K race, a 10K race and a half marathon in addition to the traditional marathon race. The race course starts in downtown Cincinnati and crosses the Taylor-Southgate Bridge over the Ohio River into Northern Kentucky.
