ROLE SUMMARY:
Richards is seeking a motivated Manufacturing Associate to help us elevate our Core Richards business based in Cincinnati. This business is comprised of the Jordan Valve, Low Flow, Steriflow, Steriflow Food & Beverage, Marwin, Hex, and Bestobell product lines.
The Manufacturing Associate will report directly to Richards’ Production Supervisor.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
- Correctly identify, pick, and move castings, machined parts, and/or barstock to the appropriate staging areas or machine centers in a timely and efficient manner
- Verify the accuracy of sawed dimensions and ensure pulled part quantities match router specifications and blueprint dimensions.
- Confirm that materials meet required industry specifications as outlined in the router.
- Operate and maintain the saws to ensure proper working conditions and optimal performance.
- Accurately perform inventory transactions using the AS400 operating system to maintain inventory integrity.
- Hydrotesting of castings for porosity purposes.
- Multitasking between 3 saws, picking castings/machined parts, hydrotesting, and cycle counting.
- Deliver materials throughout the facility using forklifts, dollies, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment.
- Assembly of valves with ISO standards
- Verifies documentation
- Operating manual machines
- Operating and properly maintaining all polishing equipment
- Mechanically finish surface areas in accordance with ISO
- Complete all necessary documentation and maintains productions schedule
- Lap in accordance with ISO procedures
- Able to set up and run programs on CNC weld lathe
- Inspect materials for quality and correctness
- Preform quality assurance tests
REQUIREMENTS:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Forklift license
- Capable of handling 50 lb. to 200 lb. valve bodies and bar stock with the assistance of hand trucks, lifts, conveyors, and hoists
- Ability to stand for long periods up to eight hours or more at a time
- Must be able to multitask and organize the day’s tasks
- Ability to work weekends and overtime when scheduled
- Must adhere to all safety policies including wearing all required personal protective equipment where required
