Richards Honored with Super Apprenticeship Partner Award

Cheryl NeiheiselRichards Industries is pleased to announce Cheryl Neiheisel, V.P. of Human Resources, was recognized with an Apprenticeship Award from the Southwest Ohio Region Workforce Investment Board. Richards Industries has collaborated with the OMJ (OhioMeansJobs) Center for many years.   Richards Industries has quickly become the first company in the Ohio area to register apprenticeships, assess candidates and deliver related technical instruction as well as on-the-job training hours for managers.   SuperAward The award was presented by Sherry Kelley Marshall, President & CEO of the Southwest Ohio Region Workforce Investment Board.
About SWORWIB
For the last 10 years, the SWORWIB has promoted the use of the National Career Readiness Credential to help refresh workers’ credentials, assess workers for training readiness, and promoted its use for career technical education efforts. SWORWIB received $500,000 as part of the America’s Promise grant to develop internship programs in the service area with manufacturers.  At the annual meeting earlier this month, SWORWIB recognized those partners who helped get underway with implementation of the Industrial Manufacturing Technician apprenticeship program with employers in Hamilton County.
