Marwin Valve's MS3000 Series Metal Seated Valve
The MS3000 Series is a heavy duty, metal seated ball valve engineered for high pressure and temperature applications with an extended bonnet standard for pipe insulation and enhanced packing.
The size range of the MS3000 is 1/4" through 2" and 3" x 2" (sch. 160 pipe bore). It is designed specifically for applications with pressures to 990 psi and temperatures to 1000°F. It is ideal for condensate, steam or gas service.
The metal seats are identical upstream and downstream and can be interchanged during routine maintenance thereby extending the effective life.
THe MS3000 is available with Marwinite Carbon Seats or Marwear Metal Seats.
The Marwinite (M6) Carbon seats with ANSI Class VI shutoff are a nickel impregnated compressed carbon graphite seating surface encased in a 316 stainless steel casing. The Marwinite II (M2) Carbon Seats with ANSI Class V shutoff are a compressed carbon graphite without nickel.
The Marwear (W4) Metal Seats with ANSI Class IV shutoff rating are comprised of dual 316/316L stainless steel base material. The ball is located with a chrome carbide plasma spray coating.
The Marwear (W6) Metal Seat with ANSI Class V1 shutoff rating are comprised of dual 316/316L stainless steel materials. The ball and seats are coated with a chrome carbide plasma spray coating using an HVOF process, giving a surface hardness greater than Stellite 6B, but with reduced friction for better operating torque.
The Marwear II (W2) Metal Seats are enhanced Marwear Seats with ANSI Class VI shutoff and are also comprised of dual 316/316L stainless steel base material. Both the ball and seats are coated with tungsten carbide plasma spray coating using an HVOF process, giving a surface hardness of approximately HRC 70.
